President Jim Keene was presented a custom rod and reel with his NCBBA number wrapped into the hand grip thanking him for 10 years of service to NCBBA as President and many additional years serving on the Board of Directors. Jim now becomes the most recent past president and will be seated on the Board as a new director and will continue as our NCBBA representative to CHAPA.

Past President John Newbold was also presented with a custom rod and reel with his NCBBA number wrapped in the hand grip recognizing him for 30 plus years of service to NCBBA as Mr. Everything including President . John will no longer be a member of the Board but will continue as the Fishing News Editor for our newsletter.

The Brian Edwards Memorial Trophy for the Russ Privett Memerial Tournament was presented to Mr. John Newbold in appreciation of the time and talent he has given to NCBBA over the past 30 years. This is how its done! The lady on the left is Michele Horrigan and on the right is Deb Gardiner both from Chesterfield, VA. Photo was taken on Saturday September 25, 2010 at Ramp 44. These ladies took our request to remove trash from the beach to a new level. The nylon bags they removed from the beach are the remains of the large sandbags that were used to secure the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse prior to its movement to the present location. If you see the VA plate "DRUM" say hello to the ladies.

Casting Seminar with instructor Ryan White.

We missed our usual instructor National Record Long Distance Casting Champion Tommy Farmer due to a work conflict but were delighted when Ryan White, owner of Hatteras Jacks in Rodanthe agreed to be the instructor.

We had 13 Students and all went away from the seminar with a better understanding of what it takes to reach the second bar. Our thanks to Ryan White who is coaching Wanda Fletcher from Elizabeth City, NC.

Directors Carol Mowers and Mike Metzgar and the NCBBA Member Volunteers greeted thousands of visitors at the show and NCBBA was rewarded with many new members joining our ranks promoting Free and Open Beach Access. It was our pleasure to meet several new members and many old friends and members from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. The biggest discussions were with people that had no idea about the closures at Cape Hatteras and those that listened went away more aware of our systematic removal from our National ecreational Areas.
