Description
Good day to you!!
Thank you for getting back to me. KMA Off Road has been a member of the Jeeping / off road community for over five years. KMAs initials though a would be play on words stands for Karen, Marie, and Amy. These are the wife's names of our founders. Without their go ahead I think the boys may not of got this club off the ground, hence the inclusion of their initials.
Founded in 2004 KMA off road has become respected in the off road community. We are involved year round in community events, charitable fund raising, and green community initiatives. We are active members of the Virginia Beach Clean community and Tread Lightly. We maintain a local park "Beach Garden Park" We also make our membership available to many other area clubs to make their events as successful as possible.
>From firefighters, to active duty and retired military, our membership spans many different fields and areas of expertise. We pull these resources together to make a positive impact where ever our travels take us.
KMA is built around family values. We promote safe driving, we have no tolerance for alcohol use during our activities. We demand that our members leave any community, camping facility, off road area cleaner than we arrived.
We would be proud to get more involved in the Outer Banks, I personally have owned homes in Corolla, Duck, and currently Kitty Hawk. We started our annual "Klean" because we love the North Beach. We often drive down for cookouts and family fun. We are saddened by the trash that accumulates during the rental season and determined that October is a great time to lend a hand and collect trash. Last year we collected over 300lbs of garbage and we hardly made a dent. Over this past year we shared our stories with fellow off roaders and beach goers and they were amazed.. The overwhelming sentiment was "Can we help" What's the answer.....? YES YOU CAN. This year we opened this to all the area jeep clubs and we are ecstatic with the response. As of today we are expecting over 50 volunteers... I truly hope this come to fruition and we make a dent in the trash and a positive impact for our sport.
